ASKING FOR A FRIEND is a finalist for the Ohio Book Award!

ASKING FOR A FRIEND has been named as a finalist for the Ohio Book Award (formerly the Ohioana Book Award)! It is truly an honor to be named alongside the other incredible titles named as finalists.

I grew up in Ohio, making little paper books in elementary school and competing in writing competitions and writing a one-act play in middle and high school. At THE (THE!) Ohio State University, I took writing workshops and learned the shape of short stories and fiction. All this to say: I learned to love books in Ohio. Stellar Ohio teachers gave the foundation for me-- and so many others-- to pursue lives honoring the written word. To be an Ohio Book award finalist again this year is something I will never forget.
